Integrated Technology Support & Automation Technician

PAM's Auto is seeking an experienced IT generalist to keep our technology running day to day and to write the scripts, queries, and internal tools that keep the whole operation efficient. This is a one-person-IT-shop role with real ownership — you'll be the go-to for everything from a jammed printer to a PowerShell automation to a SQL report, working directly with ownership. Work environment is a modern, air-conditioned office inside our recycling facility. Hours are Monday–Friday. No weekends!

Integrated Technology Support & Automation Technician Compensation:

Starting Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a full benefits package. Full-time, on-site in St. Cloud, MN.

Integrated Technology Support & Automation Technician Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on IT support / systems experience
  • Working proficiency with scripting (PowerShell) and SQL
  • Solid fundamentals in Windows environments, networking, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Self-directed and reliable; comfortable being the primary IT resource
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical coworkers
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current, valid MN driver's license
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Team player
  • Bonus: experience with SQL Server, .NET / IIS web applications, network/firewall administration, system monitoring tools, or ERP systems

Integrated Technology Support & Automation Technician Job Duties:

  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Diagnose and resolve day-to-day technology issues for staff across the company
  • Manage and maintain hardware and infrastructure — computers, phones, printers/copiers, networking, and office technology
  • Install, configure, and support operating systems and business software
  • Write, test, and maintain scripts and automations (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline routine IT and business tasks
  • Write and maintain SQL queries and assist with routine database maintenance and reporting
  • Build and maintain internal tools and utilities that support company operations
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Correctly enter and maintain part-number mapping in the parts database
  • Follow company policies and the employee handbook

How We Hire:

Qualified candidates will complete a short, practical hands-on exercise — for example, a small scripting task, a SQL query, or a troubleshooting walk-through — so we can evaluate real skills rather than résumé keywords.
